- Gout is pain, swelling & redness at small joints (e.g. toes & fingers, ankle etc.), usually caused by uric acid crystallization
- Per TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), gout discomfort/uric acid crystallization is mainly caused by spleen qi deficiency & inner organs (viscera) heat toxin (脏腑热毒) and dampness (痰湿). These conditions weaken Qi circulation and elimination of uric acid.
